John O'Quinn Field at Space City Financial Stadium

Tradition. The Spirit of Houston marching band enters through the east concourse from the Winston Center and sits with the student section.

Tailgating. Cullen Boulevard closes on game days; students tailgate at 'Shasta Square' east of the stadium, alumni host 'Party on the Plaza', and RVs use lot 16B off Elgin.

Parking. About 3,382 spaces sit next to the stadium, including a 2,268-space stadium garage, with more in satellite lots and campus garages.

The stadium, opened in 2014 as TDECU Stadium, seats about 40,000 and was built to expand to 60,000. It runs east to west, and gaps between the end zone decks and the sideline stands frame views of the Houston skyline. Nearly half the seats are in the lower bowl. The student section is in the east end zone 100 level, and for 2026 it expanded into sections 132-133 on the north sideline, raising lower-bowl student capacity above 4,500. The south side holds the main premium areas: club armchairs between the 25-yard lines, a 12,400-square-foot club and 26 suites, plus loge boxes on both sidelines.

Paid lots and a garage surround the stadium on UH's campus. For 2026, game-day prices were $40 for the Blue and Green lots, $50 for the Orange Lot, $30 for the Purple Garage and $25 for the text-to-pay Teal Lots, with prepaid passes $5 to $10 cheaper through UH's evenue site. Single-game RV spots sit at the south end of the Green Lot. Tailgating is allowed in the lots next to the stadium and across campus, the student tailgate is on Cullen Boulevard at the east end, and Shasta Square is the pregame zone outside Gates 1 and 2.
