Seating & views
The Booth reopened in 2025 after Phase 1 of its Gateway District rebuild, with listed capacity of about 41,525, and KU says capacity is limited again in 2026 while construction continues. The stadium is a horseshoe with the north bowl closing one end. Phase 1 replaced the west side and north bowl with seatback seats, more legroom, suites set closer to the field, ledge suites, loge boxes and about 2,300 club seats in three social zones. The century-old east grandstand remains and is due for replacement in Phase 2. Students have sat in the northeast portion of the stadium, and waving the wheat is a gameday tradition.
Parking & tailgating
The stadium sits just north of the Campanile on the KU campus. Close-in lots and the Mississippi Street Garage need a Williams Fund game permit. Non-donor parking in Lots 11 and 72 and the Allen Fieldhouse Garage is $35, first come, first served, credit card only, and Lot 90 near Capital Federal Hall is $10 per stall and is also the only RV option. Two free shuttles run from the Allen Fieldhouse Garage and Lot 90 from three hours before kickoff until an hour after the game. Tailgating is not allowed in student permit Lots 61 and 34. Check KU's official gameday parking page, since details change.
