Seating & views
McLane Stadium, opened in 2014 on the north bank of the Brazos River, seats 45,140 and is designed to expand to 55,000. It is a horseshoe with the open south end facing the river and a large video board. A 125-foot canopy over the east stands can shade up to 60 percent of seats, and the west-side press box and suites shade parts of that side. Students, about 6,700 to 7,000 of them, sit along the east sideline, including the freshman Baylor Line, which runs onto the field before games. Premium options include 39 suites, 74 loge boxes, 1,200 club seats and the west-side Baylor Club.
Parking & tailgating
Stadium lots, including Lots 1 through 4, the Gold Lot and the Dutton and Speight garages, are mostly prepaid or assigned, so check your parking pass. Free parking is available downtown around Third Street and Washington and Franklin Avenues, served by the free Tailgater shuttle run with Waco Transit starting three hours before kickoff. Private lots across from the stadium have charged up to $20. Tailgating fills Touchdown Alley and the student areas beside the stadium, and the Brazos-side lots draw big tent setups. Fans can also sailgate by boat in the Baylor Basin cove next to the stadium. Check Baylor's gameday parking page, since details change.
