Game day
Tradition. Before each home game the team takes the Walk of Champions through the Grove, passing under an arch donated by the undefeated 1962 team as fans line the path.
Tailgating. Fans tailgate under tents, many set up by vendors, in the 10-acre Grove at the center of campus; cars and open-flame grills are banned and spots cannot be claimed before 7:30 p.m. the night before.
Seating & views
Vaught-Hemingway seats 64,038 after a 2016 expansion that bowled in the north end zone, so the stadium is now an enclosed bowl. The same project added two video boards flanking the south end zone, more restrooms and concession stands, and a natural grass field. The student section moved to the north end zone with that expansion. Big games sell out, and Ole Miss hands out LED wristbands for in-seat light shows. Fans count down to Lock the Vaught two minutes before kickoff. Tickets are mobile only, using tap-to-enter phone wallet passes, and field rushes are prohibited.
Parking & tailgating
On-campus parking is by permit, and each permit carries a mandatory annual donation tied to the lot's location. Fans without a permit have historically used park-and-ride lots and free shuttles from around Oxford, though the sites change from year to year. The Grove is the main event: the lawn at the heart of campus, packed with tents. Fans claim free spots when the Grove opens to the public at 6 p.m. Friday, and vendors set up paid tents earlier that afternoon. The Circle also hosts tailgates. Check OleMissGameday.com for current lots, shuttles and drop-off zones, since details change.
