Seating & views
Spartan Stadium seats 74,866, sixth largest in the Big Ten. Both sidelines have been double-decked since 1957, and the west side is dominated by a tower built in 2005 that holds the press box, 24 suites, about 800 club seats and a luxury concourse, with premium floors renovated for 2025. Both end zones have video boards, and the north end also has an LED wall. Traditions are a big part of the seating experience: the public address announcer declares it a beautiful day for football whatever the weather, and clips from the film 300 play on opponents' third downs as the crowd chants along.
Parking & tailgating
Spartan Stadium is on Michigan State's main campus in East Lansing, and tailgating spreads across much of campus on game days. Popular spots include the area around the tennis courts, The Rock, and the lawns near the library on north campus. Open alcohol is allowed on campus during tailgating hours, except at Munn Field. On home game mornings the team makes the Spartan Walk from its hotel to the stadium past cheering fans. Check Michigan State's official gameday parking page before you go, since lots and rules change.
