Seating & views
Carter-Finley seats 56,919 and sits off Trinity Road a few miles west of NC State's main campus. The south end zone was enclosed in 2001 with the Murphy Center behind it, and a 2006 north end zone grandstand turned the stadium into a bowl. The Vaughn Towers complex, opened in 2005, holds luxury boxes, club seats and the press box. The stands sit close to the field, with one of the smallest gaps between seats and sidelines in the ACC. Students enter at Gate 6 and fill a large block of lower-level sections. A larger north videoboard was added before 2023.
Parking & tailgating
Lots surround the stadium and the Lenovo Center next door, color-coded by gate: Red off Trinity Road, Yellow and Gray at the arena lots, Purple off Westchase Boulevard, Black and White at the Fairgrounds, and Orange for the Trinity and student lots. Motorhomes use the Murphy Center lots. Several lots need permits bought at least 10 days ahead, and prices vary by opponent. Day-of parking is first come, first served, and all lots are cashless. Tailgating rules allow grills kept at set distances from anything flammable, permit beer and unfortified wine only, and ban amplified sound. Check GoPack.com's tailgating and parking page, since details change.
