Seating & views

Bobby Dodd is the oldest stadium in the FBS and seats about 51,900. It started as a horseshoe and now has upper decks on both the east and west sidelines, a freestanding upper deck in the north end zone and seating at the south end, which returned in 2002. Because the land slopes, much of the field sits below street level. In 2024 a few north-east sections were removed for the Fanning Center. A 2002 club offers chairbacks and an air-conditioned lounge, and a renovation starting in fall 2026 will replace metal bleachers with chairbacks, add club areas and put a new video board between the north and west stands.

Parking & tailgating

The stadium is in Midtown Atlanta just off I-75/85, across from The Varsity, and North Avenue MARTA station on the Red and Gold lines is a short walk east. On campus, all lots open at 7 a.m. and fans may park in non-residential E and W zones. Day-of decks and lots include the Tech Square Deck (E81), Family Housing Deck, Dalney and North decks, Ferst Drive and 781 Marietta Street, with guaranteed spots reservable through ParkMobile and attendants collecting fees on site. Tailgating is allowed on campus, but grills are banned inside parking decks. Check Georgia Tech Parking and Transportation's gameday page before each game.
